Ethical production and supply chain
We forge long-term and mutually strong partnerships with all of our suppliers. We know each of them by name and many are family-run businesses! All our factories have been independently audited by us for fair wages, work safety and adult-only employment.
GOTS certified clothing and organic muslin
GOTS is the world’s Global Organic Textile Standard which monitors an entirely organic process from farming the raw materials to dying the fabrics, manufacturing the textile and packaging the final product.
This means our GOTS certified clothing and organic muslin is:
- Organic
- Sustainable
- Fairly produced
- Reusable
- Recyclable
While all Snuggle Hunny Kids products are free from harmful chemicals and boast equally sustainable and fair production, GOTS goes deeper to include an end-to-end organic process.
The GOTS supply chain is entirely green.
Carbon offset
“We are proud to reduce our carbon footprint by offsetting our carbon emissions with Greenfleet.”
At Snuggle Hunny Kids we are committed to making a difference for ours and our children’s future. Through our partnership with Greenfleet, we are working to offset the carbon emissions that are produced through business operations. Greenfleet is a not-for-profit organisation that plant biodiverse native forests in Australia on our behalf. These forests capture greenhouse gas emissions and help to protect our planet against the impacts of climate change.
Since 1997, Greenfleet have planted more than 9.2 million native trees across 500 bio-diverse forests in Australia and New Zealand to offset carbon emissions.
As they grow, Greenfleet forests absorb carbon emissions, improve soil and water quality, and restore habitat for native wildlife, including many endangered species. Greenfleet is Australia’s most respected source of biodiverse carbon offsets. Through practical climate action, Greenfleet is growing hope for our climate. Learn more at: www.greenfleet.org.au
Packaging
At Snuggle Hunny Kids we also continuously strive to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. 100% of our boxes are recycled or reused. We also reuse packaging materials when sending parcels to our customers, wherever possible and recycle any left-over cardboard boxes.
Philanthropy
We regularly send donations of our Jersey Wraps and Muslin Swaddles to various NICU’s (neonatal intensive care units) around Australia.
The reason we started doing this is because we talk to so many mums within our SHK community who end up in NICU due to a number of reasons and have spoken to us about how their Snuggle Hunny wraps brighten their day by being able to use them for their child whilst in the unit. NICU is one of the busiest areas of a hospital and most precious too. The babies get put in what’s called a “baby nest” and these are covered with a blanket to keep the baby warm. That blanket is often hard, old and not very inviting. So, a lot of our mums asked their units if they can use our blankets instead as they fit perfectly in size, they are soft and breathe a bit of warmth and beauty into their nests.
